Understanding Matthew 24 Part 3 (Understanding “Coming in the clouds”) This session continues an exegesis of Matthew 24. Emphasis is placed upon how the Old Testament uses the phrase, “Coming in the clouds.” It many places it refers to God coming in judgment upon rebellious nations. Jesus prophesied before Caiaphas, the high priest, during his arrest that He would come in great power and that they would see Him sitting at the right hand of power. Jesus is alluding to His coming in judgment upon apostate Israel in 70 A.D.
